RCPS Press Report 2nd March 2017

The results of the Monochrome competition were recently announced. Skipping over the rainbow was John Elvin whose print of Mr Ledgate won the competition overall. Second in the print section was Shaun Argent with Generations and third was Stuart Ward with Fountains Abbey Solarium. Highly Commended were Tim Nichols for Stairway at Trinity House, Carol Morrison for Stairway to the Gods and Frank Vallely for 14th century Cloisters at Gloucester Cathedral. Commended were Frank Vallely for The Judge, Helen Tabor for Bridge Structures, Salford Quays and John Elvin for Fire Eater. In the Digital Projected Images top spot went to David Uffindall for FitzRoy Range, Patagonia, second place went to John Elvin for Rising Mist and third to Stuart Holmes for Five Boys. Highly Commended were Lyndsay Campbell for Purity, Helen Linfoot for Frosted Carp Nets and John Elvin for Falling. Commended were Frank Vallely for Stormy Afternoon at Whitby and for A Break in the Clouds and Helen Tabor for Quite Deserted, Malmo Station.

Next up is a three way battle with Wensleydale and Easingwold Camera Clubs, the event kindly being judged by Phil Robbins from Wetherby.
