Press Report 16th March 2017

In a change to the advertised programme, member Stuart Ward gave a very helpful presentation about stitching photographs together using either Lightroom or Photoshop to form a panorama. This followed on from the previous week when our speaker showed a number of panoramas that she had put together using the ‘stitching’ method. Thanks also to members who brought in prints for the peer review that was conducted in small groups. It was a very good activity judging by the intensity of discussion and the fact that we almost had to usher people home at the end!

Our next meeting is the AGM when the time comes to elect members to the Committee. Several committee members are standing down and a number of posts will need to be filled. The Society has gone from strength to strength over the last five years, due in no small measure to the enthusiasm and application by Committee members. We have proved that by being forward looking and by application to forward planning we can achieve high levels of success. The challenge for the new committee is to carry this forward, build on the model and strive for more success.
