RCPS Press Report 18th June 2017

We had a good social evening at The Golden Lion on Monday 12th June; with a plenty of discussion on the images on display at Yorkshire Photographic Union’s exhibition amongst other things. If you fancy seeing what all the talk was about you can head off to Huddersfield to view them for yourself, the exhibition is free and is being held at the Huddersfield Art Gallery until 2nd September.

By the time you read this there will have been a trip to the North Yorks Moor Railway and the Yorkshire coast for a range of photographic opportunities, so by next week, we will have more detail on what folk got up to – photographically that is! The debate on the impact of the weather on the trip wasn’t so much about what to wear but whether cloudy skies would make for more dramatic images! However, fair weather would be preferable.

There is also much hard work going on in the background preparing for Ripon City Photographic Society’s own Annual Exhibition to be held in September, so our members also need to be thinking about choosing and preparing their images for display. I know our members are out and about honing their photographic skills, both in terms of composition and the hen post processing so I am sure we will be seeing some great images.
