Submit Competition Entries – Architecture

September 30

Architectural photography is primarily capturing photographs of buildings and similar architectural structures that capture the design but are both aesthetically pleasing and are accurate in terms of representations of their subjects. Think about using additional skills and techniques to capture the beauty of buildings, e.g. using perspective control to capture complete spaces. These buildings can be old or new and images can be of the interior or exterior, the whole building or details within in. Colour or mono.

People can be included (for example if they show how the space is being used or provide a sense of scale) but the architecture should be the main focus of the image. Post processing can be used to deal with issues such as converging verticals or for removing distracting elements such as construction but remember that the image should remain be an accurate representation of the subject.
