RCPS is delighted to share a fantastic opportunity for our members.
Ripon Men’s Shed (RMS) has invited RCPS photographers to submit images for a permanent exhibition of large-format prints (53cm x 35cm) in their social space, a wonderful chance to have your work seen and enjoyed every day.

This opportunity is open to all RCPS members.
Beginners and experienced photographers alike are encouraged to take part. So whether you are just finding your feet or a lifelong photographer this is a great way to:
- Support a fellow Ripon-based community organisation
- Celebrate our local area, and
- Showcase your photography in a permanent exhibition space
Below are the submission details provided by Ripon Men’s Shed.
What they’re looking for
RMS will select seven photographs that capture Ripon’s character, identity and sense of place for display in their social space.
Suitable subjects would include
- Local landmarks
- Street Scapes
- Landscapes
Important notes
- Well-known landmarks photographed from a fresh or distinctive perspective are especially encouraged
- Images of places such as Fountains Abbey are welcome
- Photos of nearby towns (e.g. Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge) should not be submitted
- When choosing images, please remember they are intended to celebrate Ripon, its history, and its community.
How to submit
- All members are invited to submit one image
- The file size of your submission should be 2Mb or smaller
- The file name should include the title of the image and your RCPS membership number
- Submit using this online form by Monday 23rd March at the latest
Selection & display
- Images will be reviewed by a special RMS selection panel
- Successful photographs will be permanently displayed in the Men’s Shed social space
- Selected photographers will be acknowledged, and notified.
In the true spirit of community collaboration, RCPS will cover printing costs and RMS will be responsible for framing the images.
If you have any questions, please contact a member of the Exhibition Sub-Committee.
We can’t wait to see how you capture Ripon through your lens.
