RCPS Annual Photographic Exhibition

Each year, Ripon City Photographic Society (RCPS) proudly hosts its Annual Photographic Exhibition, a celebration of creativity, skill, and the many ways photography allows us to see and interpret the world around us. The exhibition showcases a wide range of work by our members, presented in both high-quality prints and engaging digital displays.

The exhibition traditionally takes place at Allhallowgate Methodist Hall in Ripon, towards the end of August or early September, and has become a much anticipated event in the local cultural calendar. It provides an opportunity for the public to enjoy an inspiring collection of images whilst gaining an insight into the breadth of talent within the club.

Highlights from the 2025 Exhibition

The 2025 RCPS Exhibition was extremely well received, attracting many visitors and generating enthusiastic feedback throughout the event. One of the most striking aspects of the exhibition was the sheer diversity of the images on display. From landscapes and wildlife to portraits, street scenes, and abstract work, the collection reflected how differently each photographer sees and captures the world.

Images were created using a wide range of equipment, from professional, high-end cameras to everyday high-street smartphones, reinforcing the idea that compelling photography is driven by creativity and vision rather than equipment alone.

Visitors were invited to vote for their favourite images in both the Print and Digital categories. The winning photographs, as chosen by the public, are shown below. The prints themselves can also be seen as part of the Ripon Library Stairway Exhibition.
