As members of the YPU, and the associated affiliation to the PAGB, all RCPS members have the privilege of putting in for photographic awards.
The PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit are national distinctions. They are awarded by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain to amateur photographers in affiliated clubs.
Award Levels
- Badge (BPAGB)
Approaching good club photography standard (prints only).
- Credit (CPAGB)
Good club photography standard. Requires 10 images and 2 years of active club membership.
- Distinction (DPAGB)
Open exhibition photography standard. Requires 15 images and 3 years of active club membership.
- Excellence (EPAGB)
High level of acceptance in open exhibitions. Requires prior DPAGB and 3 years of active membership (prints only).
- Master (MPAGB)
Highest standard of UK amateur photography. Requires prior DPAGB and 5 years of active membership.

Note: The YPU will be running an advisory day to guide and help you towards your submission. This will take place before the accreditation day.
