How to Take Better Photographs.  A semi-autobiographical talk about his journey through photography. With hints and tips, learnt over many years, which are not always featured in books. Points covered will help people to think differently about how they view their images.

January     4   Presentation Stuart Ward from Pearl to Bikini  
January     11He Shoots he Scores a presentation by Andrew Moss a London based accredited sports photographer. He will explore how to take different images of sports and action, from accessing and scouting the arena to getting the shot and processing. Entries Comp 4 Monochrome
January     18Image manipulation. An exercise where members are asked to interpret a number of images and to present them having edited them in style of their choice.  
January     25Presentation Ripon Re-viewed. A journey through the photographic  archives of the city and some of the changes that have taken place.  
February   1A presentation by Martin Middlebrook. To be confirmed. Martin is a photographer, writer and director  images from his projects have been published worldwide. Entries Comp 5 World in Motion
February   8Judging Competition 4 Monochrome by Gavin Prest.  
February   15A presentation by Charlotte Graham a professional photographer based in Yorkshire. Her work is in demand by the international press and businesses due to her ability to get the best out of any scenario. She has a passion for Yorkshire as can be seen in many of her publications, and is a very entertaining speaker. Entries Presidents Cup
February   22The Art of Metamorphosis a presentation by Andrea Hargreaves which will take us through her workflow from the photoshoot, the technical details of manipulation and the creative vision used in order to arrive at a competition image.  
March        1Judging Competition 5 World in Motion  
March        8A presentation by Les Forester. Well known to all of us who is bound to wow us with his superb architectural images. A fitting way to bring our season of presentations to a conclusion.  
March        15Judging President’s Cup

March        29Annual Dinner and Presentations.
