Press Report 12 Sept 22

On Saturday 10th September the society held its Annual Exhibition. What a day, so many visitors viewed the beautifully organised and presented digital and printed works of art. The diversity of members images showed how everyone sees the world around them in so many different ways. The photographs were taken with cameras of all types from smartphones to DSLRs.

A very big thankyou to all who helped in anyway from baking, printing, media, organising, and above all the photographers!

The society has opened the season with a warm welcome from the president Stuart Ward. An outline of the  programme, competitions, speakers and workshops will ensure friendly learning ,fun and will most definitely lead to new knowledge and skills. Many of the members presented a few of their photographs taken over the summer. A real treat to see fabulous wildlife, portraits, cityscapes, landscapes, and street photography.

On September 26th Chris Ceasar will present a talk “From Capture to Print.” He is a professional photographer from York and is a member of the RPS. He will speak about his inspiration, editing techniques and image printing. Not to be missed.

Please come and visit our Monday evening meetings at St. Wilfrid’s Community Center, Ripon to see what we do. Joining the society can be at any time throughout the season. (No meeting on the 19th September the Queens Funeral)
